It was so cool to have reporters calling me wanting to talk to me. Most importantly it was such an exciting opportunity to spread publicity regarding my platform and to share with New York all the incredible opportunities the Miss Empire Rose, Miss New York and Miss America organization has provided me with, along with how I have grown through the organization. Opportunities and growth the Miss America organization provides for young women all over the country! Fun fact of the day; the Miss America organization is the largest scholarship provider for young women in the world! The interviews also served as good lessons for me as an aspiring broadcast journalist, it quickly became evident which reporters listened and which did not. It could be a bit comical; there were times I read something about myself, where I had to wonder “how did they even come up with that?!” But those were few and far between, most were wonderful! A special thanks to Glenn Griffith of the Community News for always taking the time to get the story right! He is a kind man who is so passionate about what he does. He truly puts all of his heart into his work. Thank you for your beautiful articles; it was an absolute pleasure working with you!
