Eligibility Requirements
To become Miss New York’s Outstanding Teen, a contestant must either first win a Local Competition, or compete as an At-Large Contestant at the New York State Pageant. This process requires personal commitment, hard work and talent. To compete in the Miss New York’s Outstanding Teen program, you need commitment, perseverance, talent and ambition.
In order to be eligible, you must:
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Be a young lady between the ages of 13 and 17
- Must not be eligible to compete in the Miss America Competition
- Legal resident of New York at least 6 months prior to local pageant competition
- Geographic eligibility for local pageants: CLICK HERE
- Be able to meet the time commitment and responsibilities as set forth by the local program in which you compete
- Be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements
- Meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Organization
At Large Contestants
Any eligible TEEN contestant may compete as an AT LARGE CONTESTANT without winning a prelminary competition.
You must fill out the At Large Contestant form and submit a headshot and $300 entry fee by April 15, 2011.
By submitting this application, you are requesting to be considered as a contestant at large in the MNYOT Pageant. When accepted, a local title will be assigned to you. The MNYOT Judges are not aware whether or not a contestant has competed in a local preliminaray or advance to the State Pageant as an at large contestant.
