Building female leaders
For young women looking to pay for college and flex their leadership muscles, The Miss New York Scholarship Organization is a sisterhood that pairs academic scholarships with hands-on non-profit leadership.
We're creating social change across New York State through expert advocacy, encouraging creative arts & physical health for well-balanced women, and building a sisterhood of female leaders across the Empire State.
Join Miss New York’s Middle School Movement and Reach Youth Before Alcohol & Drugs Do.
This interactive prevention program gives students the tools they need to make positive choices, live healthy lives and overcome obstacles to accomplish their dreams. This program empowers kids to take control of their future and make smart choices.
As the National Youth Spokesperson for the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD), Safe America and an Ambassador for Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Amanda is dedicated to combating adolescent drug and alcohol abuse. She is educated on drug abuse, addiction and prevention through the credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor program and has 10 years of experience educating kids about drugs and alcohol.
“Through the Middle School Movement, my goal is to help kids make healthy choices, join together and realize that they are not alone and making good decisions is the popular and cool thing to do. I believe that peer education is a powerful tool and if kids can influence other kids to make positive choices and join together to live a drug-free life, our next generation will be happy, healthy, successful and unstoppable.” –Amanda-
